Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address, a username, and a password (stored as a salted hash by Supabase Auth). We do not collect your real name or any payment information.

When you connect an ADS-B feeder, we store the sighting records it produces: ICAO hex codes, callsigns, timestamps, and position data for aircraft that fly within range of your receiver. This data is publicly visible on your profile by default.

We collect basic usage analytics (page views, device type) via Vercel Analytics. No cross-site tracking cookies are used.

How we use it

Your email is used only to send account-related messages (confirmation, password reset). We do not send marketing email and we do not sell or share your email with third parties.

Sighting data is used to build your collection, compute rarity scores across the community, and power the social features of the service.

Public profiles

Your username, aircraft collection, and activity are public by default. Other users can view your profile, follow you, and compare collections. There is currently no option to make a profile private.

Data storage

Data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on AWS infrastructure. We use row-level security policies to ensure users can only modify their own data.

Deleting your account

To delete your account and all associated data, email privacy@myhangar.app. We will process requests within 30 days.
